Public Health Authority Recommendation – Through July 31, 2022

Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center is the Public Health Authority within the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR).

As of July 12, 2022, due to increasing positive COVID-19 tests on the CTUIR we are asking that all persons while inside CTUIR entities wear a mask at all times in indoor settings. Umatilla County is currently experiencing high rates of COVID-19 and in recent weeks Yellowhawk has experienced a significant increase. Due to multiple recent events and the uptick in cases, and how easily COVID-19 spreads, we are determining this surge a high community risk level and seeking the help of our community to slow the spread.

Social distancing of six feet and, frequent, thorough handwashing practices also remain extremely important and will continue to be required as essential to minimize the risk of exposure and infection. As always, Yellowhawk is here for our community and will continue immunizing, testing and treating our community. We currently have COVID-19 at home testing kits available through our pharmacy drive thru for your convenience. We appreciate your assistance in limiting the spread of COVID-19, please do stay home if you are ill. Please contact our Public Health Department if you need a vaccination or booster, our team is available to help answer your questions.
