What are we doing?
We are inviting all Confederated Tribes of Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) Tribal Members and guests to a community sharing event to hear about important new research concerning Umatilla Tribal youth.
What is the purpose of the event?
The Center for Indigenous Research Collaboration Learning & Excellence (CIRCLE) has been working with the Umatilla Tribe to understand how to help tribal youth recovering from addiction. Since 2014, a Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) research grant from the National Institutes of Health has supported CIRCLE research with Umatilla Tribal Members. We want the Tribe to know what we learned from this research.
Why should I attend the event?
The tribal youth are our future, and they need our help to live healthy lives. We also want you to know about the research we have been doing in collaboration with your tribe and how you can help. This research belongs to the Tribe.
Who should attend the event?
All CTUIR Tribal Members and their guests are welcome to join this event. No special background is needed.
