As the CTUIR returns to work it is important to keep up with your stay healthy habits. We all need to work together to continue to keep ourselves, our families, and the community safe.
MAKE GOOD HYGIENE A PRIORITY
+ Avoid handshakes and use non-contact greetings
+ Make sure you have access to hand soap and running water, alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes in your workplace
+ Regularly disinfect frequently touched surfaces like door handles, badges, desks, phones, desk chairs, keyboards and computer mice
+ Open windows and prop open doors to increase ventilation and airflow and reduce contact with door handles
RECONSIDER MEETINGS AND TRAVEL
+ Conduct meetings by phone or videoconferencing
+ Reduce the number of meeting attendees and length of meetings
+ Hold meetings with 25 or less people that sit a minimum of 6 feet apart
+ Only travel if absolutely necessary, try to find virtual trainings and conferences instead of attending in person

COVID-19: Surveillance Study Results
The goal of the study COVID-19 Surveillance Study was to determine the current disease burden of COVID-19 on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Over 100 volunteers were recruited to participate in the study. 50 employees from Yellowhawk and 50 employees from the other CTUIR entities including the Nixyaawii Governance Center, Arrowhead Travel Plaza, Mission Market, Kayak Public Transit, Wildhorse Resort & Casino, and Tribal Police and Fire departments. These volunteers are who have been essential and frontline workers throughout the pandemic. They have been regularly interacting with the public as a part of their work duties.
Each participant was tested three separate times, two weeks apart. Each participant was also tested twice during each round. One of the tests indicated if they have a current infection of COVID-19 and the other tested for antibodies that might indicate the person had a previous COVID-19 infection. We are excited to be able to share the results of the study.
+ 0% of tests for the current infection came back positive.
+ For the antibody tests, less than 1% came back positive.
